Can bats live in the flue of a wood burning fireplace?

1 That's not the type of place bats would usually live - more likely a bird. Open the flue and see what drops out. :-p .

2 No thanks! I'll leave it to the exterminator. What kind of bird is active at 3 in the morning?

I don't know if our bats were actually in the flu or in the area surrounding the firebox...but the whole colony of them returned 'home' at dawn...and...just above the area where you have the fire, there's a slotted vent...they must have all been crowded in there, because little bat feet and wings were poking out through the slots...CREEPY! One actually came through the open flu into the livingroom...ewwwww. We had to have an exterminator come.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
