Can I book a multi-leg flight and 'skip' the first leg?

Airlines do not allow this for exactly the reason you want to do it. They set their pricing based on what they believe people will pay to go from B to C, or from A to C. If the demand for flights from B to C is high, and from A to C is low, the first fare will be high, while the second will be lower. To enforce this, if you miss the A to B leg, they will declare you a no-show and give your seat to someone else who may be on standby.

You will not be able to board at B using your A to C ticket, even if they have a seat available. What you can do is check if there are other airports near B (call such airports D) and/or near C (call these E) with cheaper tickets from D to C, from B to E, or from D to URL2 may be worth driving (or taking a train or cab) to and/or from a farther airport if it nets you a significant savings. Keep in mind the time spent in transit between nearby cities is usually a small fraction of the overall time including waiting in line for check-in and security, waiting at the gate, collecting luggage, etc. So driving an extra hour or even two may not make the overall journey take longer by more than 20%.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
