Can I build a gaming computer for under 500 dollars?

It's possible, but just wait and save an extra $150. Trust me, it's better in the long run to start with a good entry level PC. They'll last much longer... I'll give you a configuration later.

EDIT: Here it is, $500 exactly - though it doesn't include S+H: CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 450 ($78) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... Mobo: Biostar A880G+ ($60) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... RAM: Team Elite 4GB (1 x 4gb) 1333Mhz ($17) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... OS: Windows 7 64bit OEM ($100) http://www.newegg.com/Shopping/ShoppingItem.aspx?ItemList=N82E16832116986 Optical Drive: Lite-ON DVD Burner 24x ($20) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106289 PSU: Antec Neo Eco 620watt ($65).

I buy all of my computer stuff at frys.com they have great prices.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
