Traditional server web applications (developed using any web technology like Java, PHP, Perl, Python, . NET or Ruby on rails) can still be used on XIOS and functionality of a server web application may be enhanced by XIOS and moved piece by piece into becoming a XML applications capable of running offline. These applications are wrapped in a XIOS application window and called using an inline browser frame.
