If you do not qualify for FMLA there is nothing that protects your job, there is nobsuch thing as partial FMLA you either qualify or you dont, if you worked less than a year you do not qualify. They can tell you what ever they want but the law is on their side and unless you have it in writing they do not have to hold your job. Sneaky maybe, unfair probably, illegal no.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
