You cannot take any weapon or something close to school but years ago a lot of women carried a coaches whistle to draw attention if they were in trouble, tell the teachers and school staff that you have it and if you are in trouble or being bullied you will blow it to please come help, it really works a loud whistle gets attention and people look right away. Even out on the street, wave your arms and blow the thing like there is no tomorrow , put it on chain and wear it out of sight under your shirt otherwise they will kid you over it.
