Can renewable, clean energy totally replace nuclear energy?

Clean renewable energy can replace all destructive forms of creating electric. The problem lies in the oil and other energy related companies that lobby against anything in this direction...the more renewable sources are used, the more money they stand to lose. Most companies that supply fossil fuels haven't had the foresight to invest in the development of the cleaner renewable technologies, although there are a few that are making the move.

But until the corporate lobby is taken out of Congress this is what we are stuck with, a bunch of arrogant idiots driving the bus that is headed off the ledge.

Nuclear energy comes with it's own concerns, using an incredible amount of water (think cooling) and the obvious (radioactive waste). Renewable energy can replace nuclear and all other fossil fuels, but it will take a concerted effort on behalf of the public, government and business to address the situation properly. Victor - Just about every "Big Oil" company is already invested heavily in renewable energy technologies - Total just purchased a 60% interest in SunPower... BP has been making excellent solar panels for a number of years... most oil companies have invested in and are developing various first, second and third generation biofuels (although 1st & 2nd haven't worked out so well - competes with food stock agriculture)... Big business is not to blame - our brain dead government that can't put together a coherent energy plan is.

If you thinks that renewable energy replace nuclear energy then not completely but it replace it partially because we didn`t used renewable energy completely. For more detail on renewable energy visit - solawise.co.uk.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
