Can wireless headphones be hooked up to a 46" flat screen or surround system with no "audio out"?

We would like to be able to also hear the TV. Asked by Teachking 8 days ago Similar questions: wireless headphones hooked 46 flat screen surround system audio Consumer Electronics > MP3 Players & Accessories.

I have a similar problem. There are converter connections - HDMI to RCA and Component, but I haven't gotten the headset to work wirelessly as yet - maybe a bad headset. Check out: amazon.com/1-5M-1080p-Audio-Cable-Black/... com/1-5M-1080p-Audio-Cable-Black/dp/B0052IRQ8Y/ref=sr_1_16?

Your TV must have audio out. I think they all do. If you can't find the audio out jacks tell me what the model number is and I'll double check.

Alternatively you can use the headphone jack, but that will probably shut off the sound unless you can configure the audio settings to keep the sound on.

Model is LG 47LH30. I can't find a headphone jack either. This has us stumped.

Seriously, my husband is looking for the "secret door" because he thinks it has to have an "audio out" too. Teachking 7 days ago .

It has a digital audio output (TOSLINK) in the rear which uses an optical cable, otherwise known as S/PDIF. Do you have a TOSLINK jack in your surround system? It might be labeled with any of the terms I threw out in the first sentence.

The good news is the sound should be awesome. Org/wiki/TOSLINK.

A couple more thoughts. If you have an optical input on your receiver and you're using HDMI with your components you could use an optical cable between your TV and your surround sound receiver and then use the audio out from your components (DVD player, DVR) to power the headphones, since the HDMI will be carrying the audio signal from the component to the TV. It's a little convoluted, but I think it would work and the sound quality might actually be better because it's all digital.

If that's not an option, you can buy a digital to audio converter to plug into your digital audio out from your TV. You can't just use an adapter plug; you need a powered converter, like the one below. They also make wireless headphones for digital audio, but they're pricey.Com/FiiO-Digital-Analog-Audio-Converter/dp/B0053VKP8S/ref=sr_1_3?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
