Can you buy a good home office desk for less than $300.00?

I am going to assume that you are not looking for something used. As a former business advisor, I will let you in on a little secret about getting really cheap new office furniture. There are companies out there that supply hotels with furniture at deep discounts since they order so many items at a time.

Often, hotels over order, and do not take all of the furniture that they originally plan. Sometimes, the hotel will file for bankruptcy, and cancel the order. The distributor companies for the furniture are then left with excess that they have nothing to do with.It might be one or two pieces that they want to move, but not enough to send to a large furniture store.

They will sell these pieces to small furniture stores at a huge discount, or to the general public. Since there are a lot of hotels around every major city, almost every city has a furniture distributor to deal with the furniture stores, and the hotels. There are two ways of finding out where these locations are.

First, you can do a Google search for furniture distributors. You can also call up a local hotel and find out what the distributor is that they get their furniture from. I have helped out with a handful of companies that were in need of new office furniture.

In two of the cases, I contacted local distributors and got them the furniture for about 60% off of retail. In one of the cases, the company was located a few miles away from a furniture manufacturer. I was able to get the office furniture at about 80% off of retail.

My office desk came from a distributor that had a single unit left over from a hotel order. It had a gouge in teh back end of it. Since the desk sits with teh back against the wall, it cannot be seen.

It is about four feet across, it is a hard wood (not particle board), has a hutch with cd holders, and three shelves, a file drawer in the side, and a cabinet. I paid $30 for it, and had to pick it up myself. The same desk (in another color) retails for about $450!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
