Can you tell the difference between expensive and cheap perfumes and colognes?

I haven't worn cheap cologne since I was in high school. You definitely can tell the difference. Even it's not obvious right away, you (or others, perhaps) will be able to tell after a few hours.

Some of the nicer scents change over time as they react with your skin while some cheap versions simply won't last at all. That being said, if you don't really care about the finer points, cheap stuff is fine. Like many other luxury products (wine, fashion), you may not realize the difference between high and low quality until you've familiarized yourself with a range of different products.

I really cannot tell the difference because I cannot normally afford the expensive perfume. Unless it is given to me as a gift, I have no experience with the many scents on the market. However, I know the type of scent I like, and when I find one that smells really good to me, it does end up being an expensive one!

I cannot tell if someone else is wearing cheap perfume. Many people I know are allergic to perfume so can't wear it at all and won't be around people who do.

Yes... Typical colognes usually smell more like alcohol especially if you put too much. While perfumes smell more of the fragrance it's suppose to have. Other than that, the smell of perfumes lasts almost throughout the day.

While colognes and other cheap perfumes, you're lucky if they'll even last for three hours. Before, I use Victoria Secret Love Spell. It makes me spray more through out the day.

While my Miracle can go on through the day without me spraying too much. The result, 1 bottle of Love Spell wouldn't last a month for me.

I wouldn't even know where to begin. I don't wear perfume myself, and although I've certainly smelled perfume and cologne on other people, I don't have anywhere near the exposure that I'd need to pick them apart. I do know, however, that people wearing too much perfume irritates me.It's sensory overload.

And while I don't really know the difference, I imagine it would be the same no matter how high-end the scent is.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
