Foreign exchange student programs are limited to a max of one school year. The only way you can go abroad for high school is to go to private boarding school. Costs would be very high!
You must return home for all school holidays & vacations. UK school system is very different from US. By finishing 9th grade in US, then going to UK, you foul up your O-levels/GCSEs.
And then you have to complete A-levels at another school. Ridiculous! Not worth the money, effort, hassle.
That idea is totally nuts! Now, if you graduate from high school in your own country, then want to go to UK for university, it's another story for visas, etc. That would make more sense. So if you want to consider this option, you'll need to start doing your homework - research schools & all you need to do to get ready to go abroad for university - during sophomore & junior years.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
