Christians: do you really believe all non religious people will go to hell once they die?

Hello That is a pretty good question, I hope God reveals to you the answer(through someone) that you need. First of all as I understand it as a christian..there are various degrees of punishment in hell , so all are punished according to their sin(s) that's the reason for the book of works(what you did during your life time) ,so just like you'd get punished according to what crime you committed on earth by judges (which aren't always fair) God will judge your sin(s) perfectly and will sentence you according to that/those sin(s). While all have original sin because of Adam only those whose sin (no matter what it is) is forgiven will be allowed to stay in heaven (all will go some will stay , but others will go only to be sentenced).

The bible says that all our good works don't measure up to what God expects(his standard of righteousness) so He implemented a way (because we couldn't pass the test) for all to make it to life eternal with him through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son Jesus. Jesus totally fulfilled all that God standards required (being God himself but also man so it would be right) So that all who take his sacrifice and follow him will get to the destination that He ,God the Father and God the Holy Spirit had prepared for man to experience in the first place when God first created man. Jesus' sacrifice so satisfied the requirements that God said anyone taking (as their own) what he did (no matter who they are or what they did in their past lifetime) will be forgiven .

God was pleased because his greatest creation had a way of escape (that is if they decided to take it) . Those who didn't He has to sadly allow His verdict stand upon the life : eternal punishment , without God and without mercy. All who refuse the only escape can only blame themselves .

It's like a lot of ppl are in a burning building, someone comes to save you some accept the terms of their rescue ( listen to , obeying and following the one that came to save them_) but others do not which of those will be saved from the disaster? Whose fault will It be if they refused the only way of escape , will the person that risked His life be happy they died or will it seem to Him on their part his sacrifice was for nothing? These are just some things to think about , because the free gift is for all (God knowing the horrors ppl will face) and extended toward all , but if you refuse what else can He do?

He's sacrificed so much , made a way ,the only thing left is to accept it, something he can't do for us. When someone offers you a a once-in-a life-time gift and you refuse , what more can they do? They can't do it again because it was for the moment in time only , even if they wanted to they couldn't offer that opportunity to you again because the window for that opportunity is over and if it was a life-saving gift then the person that refused is left with the consequences of their choice , much to the despair of the one that offered it.

He wanted them to have it , but because they thought they could do it another way (which could never work) they missed out and now they're in an hopeless situation God said that the wages (payment for) sin(s) the participation in doing sin(s) is death , but instead of leaving it at that He made a way for anyone (no matter what they did previously) who accepts this gift he offered would be able to escape the judgment of what he had said (because he loved us and knew we couldn't satisfy the requirement) all who accepts lives , those that don't then they have to pay for their crimes themselves. You have to ask yourself : is it worth it trying to make it own your own when the path to salvation is already laid out . Is God not good for giving anyone (because he loves us) a chance to know him and be saved?

Who did we ultimately sin against? Was it not God because we disobeyed his laws and commands . So He was right in pronouncing judgment on something that he didn't want in His kingdom.

Far as I know of , everyone has some standards for those entering their home ,those that want comply will not come in ;right? But if you comply (no matter what you' done they might allow you to go in . This is getting somewhat long so i'll stop here , but hope you get what was been said .

God bless.

Let's look at this a little differently. Why would God force people who were totally uninterested in him to spend eternity with him. On the opposite why would God confine in hell people that love and worship him.

I don't think either will happen. Those who want to be with God forever and are thankful for his grace will enjoy him forever and those who don't want to be around God get what they want. Unfortunately a world without God is going to be very horrible.

Jesus said hell was prepared for the devil and his angels. The Bible says they are spirit beings. What impact would a physical flame have on a spirit being?

Whatever the fire is we know it cannot be fire according to what we think fire is. I personally like C. S.

Lewis' take on hell. He wrote about it in The Great Divorce. If you are really interested in learning I'd suggest you read the book.

It is fascinating.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
