Conservatives: Why are Republicans now demanding that Romney release his tax returns?

Because they know he's toast if he doesn't (and maybe if he does) and it should be done before the convention either way. - “If something’s going to come out, get it out in a hurry. I do not know why, given that Mitt Romney knew the day that John McCain lost in 2008 that he was going to run for president again that he didn’t get all of this out and tidy up some of his offshore accounts and all the rest.” ~ George Will - “Put out as much information as you can.

Even if you don’t release 12 years worth of tax returns, at least three, four, five.” ~Michael Steele, former Chairman RNC - "I've released all of my tax returns, and I did it during the campaign. I think that's the right way to go and that's what I'd tell Gov. Romney to do.” ~ Republican Governor Chris Christie - “He should release the tax returns tomorrow.

It's crazy.” ~ Bill Kristol - “Romney ought to release his returns. You would think this is the only thing happening in the campaign, which is why Romney needs to put it behind him,” Barbour added. “It’s a distraction and he needs to get back to what matters.” ~ former Republican National Committee Chairman Haley Barbour told the National Review - “If you have things to hide, then maybe you’re doing things wrong.

I think you ought to be willing to release everything to the American people.” ~ Alabama Governor Robert Bentley - “There is no whining in politics. Stop demanding an apology; release your tax returns.” ~ Republican strategist John Weaver told the Associated Press - “In the scheme of things politically, you know, it looks like releasing tax returns is what the people want.” ~Ron Paul to Politico - “No matter who you are or what office you’re running for, you should be as transparent as you can be with your tax returns and other aspects of your life.” ~ Rick Perry, Texas Governor - "There's obviously something there, because if there was nothing there, he would say, have at it." … “It's arrogance.” ~ ABC analyst Matt Dowd, who worked for both George W. Bush and Democrats - “Romney is a politician running for the highest office in the land, and his current posture is probably unsustainable.” … “His position looks secretive and is a departure from campaign conventions.” ~ Editorial Staff, The National Review.

The sooner the conservatives ignore that shiit coming from Obama, the better off the country will be. We want to hear Romney's plans to improve the economy. In reality.

We already know, just get Obama out of there and big business will come around. The resistance by corporate America is real. They simply will not work with someone they don't trust, and that is Obama!

Media hacks have no right to steer politics. Kristol and Will are way off base in their independent demands to Romney. They should learn to shut the fvck up and report the news, not try to make it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
