Considering how small and far apart the nucleus and electrons are in an atom why cant' we see through most all material?

I can see why you thought I got confused between salt being used as a lense in a telescope and the telescope project called 'SALT', but no, I mean carefully grown salt crystals ARE used as lenses in many things. (see link)It still may be a case of a lattice around amorphous molecules, though, as is the case with crystalline glass. So I need more research.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
