Convincing Parents to let me wear makeup?

Talk to a friend or relative they know well. Maybe they will be able to talk to your parents for you. One thing I have to point out is I also looked young (still do) and I hated it.

I wanted to look older and be treated older. However make-up doesn't make you look older. Even with make-up people think I am 12 (and I am 19).

I would maybe ask your parents for lip gloss and mascara. This looks very natural but can play your eyes and lips up. When you say make-up parents freak out and think everything.

Also I work at a retail store and see young girls walk in wearing more make-up then what I wear or anyone else I work with. Simple make-up is the best, it plays up your features but also shows you are confident with who you are.

Don't pay attention to that nasty comment! I don't understand why people get on here just to be rude. I can understand both sides.

Growing up I always loved putting on makeup. I used to do it at home just for the heck of it. I didn't start wearing it in public until I was older (middle school I think).

My family was never very strict about it. One thing I noticed was that girls who had parents who were strict would wait until they got to school to put it on and then wash it off before going home. Personally, I would rather teach my daughter how to properly apply her makeup and give her a timeline... "mascara and lip gloss at this age, then a little blush and lipstick when she's a little older, and so on.

But I can't speak for your parents and it is important to respect their wishes for you. A mature way to approach it might be to ask if you can compromise on an age when you can wear a little mascara or whatever. As long as you don't go overboard personally don't see a problem with it.

My husband feels more like your parents on the issue...we have had many discussions about this for our daughter. Good luck to you!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
