Could theists better understand atheists if they equate the "burden of proof" argument...?

Our senses inform us of various objects that exist. For example your computer, your chair, your house, etc. YOu can see it, touch it, hear a sound if you bang your head against it, etc. So those things exist. There isnt any necessary rule about what exists and what doesnt.

If you see a 12 legged cat in front of you, it exists. If you imagine some random thing, like a 12 legged cat, but you never see it, then there is no reason to suppose that it exists...its simply something you imagine. Whatever you do not...in fact whatever you can not experience, does not exist.

Because thats all existence boils down to. Something that translates in some way to some sort of sensory information. The only reason we could believe that anything exists at all...or that the physical universe exists at all, is because of sensory information.

If you are born with no senses whatsoever...no eyes, no ears, no sense of touch, no taste, no smell...then what would you think exists? Okay...this is why the guy who says something exists but doesn't provide any context our senses can understand, has the burden of proof. You have to explain why its exstence is necessary.

YOu can do that for some things in science like, say, atoms...individual atoms are too small for human senses to detct...but observations and reasoning has finially convinced us that they do exist. God isnt like that. "Let's say 1000 years ago someone believed radiation exists.

Everyone else claimed it didn't as there was no way to find out. It does exist and there was no evidence then doesn't mean it doesn't exist." But whether it exists or not, its still illogical for them to think it does exist, if there is no evidence.

"ATHEISM IS A RELIGION. It has its own dogma based on misrepresenting science. " frankly this is a completely retarded statement.

"idleness...- You can never know anything about the external world. Have you ever seen the movie The Matrix? All of their reality was a dream and nothing has existed.

I am on my computer right now, assuming I exist and my computer exists and this is not like a dream or an illusion." exactly. What does that imply? Think about it...so what is existence, after all?

As long as you are never unplugged from this matrix, it contnues to be reality. You cant control that.

The burden of proof is on anyone making a claim, positive or negative. Nope! All atheism says is that we do NOT, will not believe your claims of a god without valid Proof..that , as always, places the Burden of proof On the Person claiming there is a god.

See where your claim went wrong Now?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
