Could these PC specs run Skyrim?

Generally you can get more graphics processing power in a desktop/tower PC than in a laptop for an equivalent price, and it gives you the option to upgrade individual components as they become dated which is often not possible in a laptop. Another way to get better value is to consider building the PC yourself. This allows you to reuse components each time you upgrade, although from your question it seems like this is your first purchase so there won't be anything to reuse this time.

Toms Hardware (google it) have a number of articles on building your own PC and each month they also release a bulletin of best value graphics cards and processors for the money. There are also gaming benchmarks to see what speed they run on real world software. I think Skyrim may be one of them.

Anandtech also has benchmarks and guides. This is useful even if you are buying a ready made system as it will give you a guide of what spec you are aiming for. The speed of Your PC will always depend on your budget and you may have to do a little research to work out what spec will give you the framerate you desire on skyrim.

As with anything it's diminishing returns, though, and the pace of progress is such that I have always found it better to buy mid-range components and upgrade slightly more often, than blow all my money on a high end system. High end is very expensive and is out of date almost as quickly as mid range stuff. If you don't want to build yourself, have a look at someone like overclockers.co.uk, (other similar sites are out there) this will give you an idea of the sort of cost for a ready built system.

Usually more than DIY, but not massively so if you are starting from scratch. For my money, something like a mid range Intel i5 4570 and a Radeon 7870 based gfx card would give you pretty good gaming power. But ask 50 people and you'll get 50 different recommendations.

Best to make your own mind up. Good luck and enjoy Skyrim and Fallout. Both excellent PC gaming choices.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
