I don't know what you mean by element name (the name attribute?) but querySelectorAll can do a lot of the work for you.

The most generalistic environment for DOM manipulation is jQuery which uses a sizzle to handle selectors.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
