1 Weight was the same and seems to be staying down again. That's good. The walk was good last night, brisk but not our usual walk, same length and time.
I have to do my Pilates today. I'm not up yet physically or mentally, so it will have to wait. At least I know how to get it on the TV today so that's good.CK, thanks for the tips on the Denise Austin tapes.
I'm going to look at the one suggested as my next purchase somewhere in the future. She is really great, I am totally impressed with her workouts. I can see why she is so successful.
I like the fact that she has so many different DVD's and you can cross train with them. Pilates, conditioning, dance, yoga, etc. Those poor people in the area of the hurricane. I know what it is like to be without a/c for a couple of days or more.
It's terrible with the heat. We all tend to take all of our daily conveniences for granted. It's so terrible when you can't do the things you normally do in most simple manner.
Some of these people lost most of their town like Galveston and their homes. It's awful. I bet it was such a lovely area in live in before the hurricane hit.

2 Running late .....had the usual breakfast and 40 minutes on the treadmill. See you all later.

3 Good morning everyone. I WAY overslept until 10:15 this morning... yikes! I guess cause it's rainy and cool today it let me sleep later. So I got 10 hours of sleep, which I guess I needed.
Anyway, I didn't want to eat a big breakfast because I have to eat lunch at 1:00 so I had 3/4 cup cereal instead of a full cup and 1/2 banana. I'm going to do 30 minutes on the treadmill and try to squeeze in like 15 min of toning. Yeah I heard about Galveston and how they told them if they didn't evacuate they would face certain death, and I can see why!
Here we are complaining around here about how gas went up because of the hurricane (it's at 4.70 right now) and those poor people lost their homes! Really puts it in perspective.

4 You cannot imagine the inconvenience of being without electricity with the heat in the south for one day much less a week or more. Even if your home wasn't damaged, like my brother-in-law's, just a few shingles on his roof, they still don't have electricity and it has to be miserable. The Louisiana brother and his son had to bring back the generator to the Texas brother (we have two brothers who live there) because his home is now has no electricity.
Remember, just the week before the Texas brother had to bring the generator to his sister in Louisiana to use! Can you believe it! Luckily, the Louisiana brother and sister of my husband had the electricity put back on after a week.
Remember, they went up north to Shreveport and didn't come back until a week later. I guess they had to clean the mess up from the freezer of what they hadn't taken out before they left. Same will now go with the Texas group. My sister in Magnolia, a small town close by my husband's brother's homes, seems to have electricity.
She sent me an e-mail today. I guess she came out OK but I thought they said her town was hit hard. She lives out in the country so maybe her particular area wasn't hit hard.
I asked her in the e-mail so I should be hearing something soon.

5 CK, for butternut squash, cut it in half lengthwise, seed it, and either bake it or microwave it until it's soft, then scoop it out of the shell and mash it. Add butter and salt, or maple or honey. This way you avoid having to peel and cube the dang thing, which I don't find terribly fun.
I saw your question. I hope you get some good ideas. Scale was down 1/2 lb this morning, same one I've been going up and down since the 7th.
Breakfast was EM/PB with a banana.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
