Death Metal Battle of the Bands! Round 1?

For now I'll answer the BQs and then I'll come back and edit this, cuz honestly I've been spending way too much time trying to come up with what to write. BQ: Favorite Album: Cryptic Writings is impressive for its unique blend of thrash and so-called "radio metal". Dave may be following the guidelines set by other 90s bands and trends, but song-for-song its still one of the most varied metal albums ever written IMO (Thrashy riffage on tracks like FFF and Vortex, Some of Marty's best leads since RiP, and Dave's personal ballad to himself from himself).

Rust in Peace is the obvious answer, just thought I'd throw in some variation Favorite Track: My Last Words BQ2: Favorite Album: Sound of Perseverance. No ranting needed, although I've answered this question many times and yet I think I've given different answers on each occasion. Favorite Track: Living Monstrosity... I know Chuck was a talented lyricist and interesting vocalist, but no other lyric makes me as giddy as "she's a stupid *****!"

BQ3: Chuck... Dave grows on you, but Chuck grew for himself... Although Dave had this really great shriek back in the day that he really should've made more use of BQ4: Chuck again, I guess... Dave keeps cranking out the leads, though (well, Endgame was a bit too Broderick-dependent, but Dave had some decent solos on it) BQ5: Death... thrash isn't a very versatile genre... if it ain't broke don't fix it, but I like the adaptability of death metal (hell, Possessed, Death, Bolt Thrower, etc. all sounded pretty thrashy when they began) BQ6: DiGiorgio destroys... but sometimes a simple bass line is all you need.

I prefer Death at the minute, but Megadeth are a big favourite BQ: Rust In Peace / Good Mourning...Black Friday BQ2: Scream Bloody Gore / Zero Tolerance BQ3: Chuck. His harsh vocals influenced the entire death metal genre BQ4: Easily Dave in this one BQ5: Avid fan of both, but I prefer thrash BQ6: DiGiorgio.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
