I would expect a "social worker" to understand the concept of "personal responsibility". Why don't YOU teach these "little angels" the "facts of life" yourself? Why is it my responsiblity if this girls Mother didn't pass on "the facts of life", or maybe didn't even know them herself to pass on?

Why is it my problem that this girl was never taught any morals or self respect? If this mythical girl CHOOSES to jump in the sack and engage in the activity designed to CAUSE pregnancy, that is HER choice therefor NOT my responsibility, unless she jumps in the sack with me. I GUARANTEE that ain't gonna happen!

Why can't she leave the bastard at the hospital and just walk away like the sperm donor apparently did? Then she'll never have to think about it again, unntil the next time she gets knocked up. I learned about using condoms "on the street".

Apparently this "girl" suffers from selctive learning. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan. Look at what is left of the neighborhood around Parkview and Kercheval.

THAT is where I grew up - on Parkview. Just because a person grows up in a certain neighborhood does NOT give them the right to tell me I am some sort of cash slave to their immorality. NO ONE has ever gotten pregnant because of "no Sex-Ed in her school".

Pregnancy is caused by DOING something. I guess you missed that day at "Social Worker School". There were a LOT fewer teens getting pregnant before the start of all of these socialist earnings-theft-and-redistribution programs of the welfare state.

Eliminate all of the communist earnings-theft-and-redistribution programs, hold the sperm donors responsible for thier actions as well, and let's see what happens to the bastard birth rate.

You are forgetting about the private charity, Planned Parenthood, run by donations from concerned citizens who have money to donate. And you forgot about the churches who are suffering the same fate of recieving gazzillions in donations and having to spend it on things like family care (And yes, the churches will help a teen pregnancy). And you forgot about the fact that sex ed WOULD be available in all schools, although each might be different.

Hell, my Lutheran School (Think Huckabee) taught us about condoms and birth control while still promoting celibacy. Its not like teaching celibacy prevents teaching birth control. You also forgot that the states, now free from many of the taxes of the Federal Government can create their own welfare systems.

I imagine even the most "conservative" would have at least food stamps and a few other basic necessities. And if you want to put a baby up for adoption its not exactly difficult. Is this teen not able to go to a friend with internet and google "How to put baby up for adoption?"

Once you say you want to, the agencies treat you like royalty making sure they get the baby because there is a shortage of them.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
