I'll have an in-law suite. That way I can then take care of them as they have taken care of me.
My granparents all live near other family members, and my family as a unit is extremely close knit. There's no need to go as far as to live together, but I'd like to know that either myself or some of my siblings are living near them when they age, and of course I'll be visiting, several times a year if they are in the same country, and probably once or twice otherwise. I'm really close to my family, and we've never had such a concern despite noone having been placed into a retirement home or living with their children.
I think the middle ground is always the best option.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
