Did Michael Scofield from 'Prison Break' die before his son was born?

Since he was incarcerated in April 2005 and his tombstone said he died in November 2005- that would mean the entire time he was alive since the story began was during just seven months. Therefore, his child would have been born a few months after he had already died as his girlfriend was not even pregnant with him until the last season of the series. So it is a sure thing that Michael Scofield never got to see his son.
