You make a very good point. Republicans never seem to really see Obama. They say he's done nothing when he's accomplished a huge list of improvements.
Eastwood acted like Obama swears and tells people to shut up -- no, that was Bush who did that. President Obama is a good family man and a gentleman who doesn't talk like that. They say all sorts of outright lies about Obama.
But they never seem to see the real man.
No, Your first or main question is legitimate, the rest of it could be said of George W. Bush and yes you scoff because it is as ridiculous as the claims of the bigots bashing President Obama. Republicans have a vision of an Obama reigniting the middle class.
In their nightmares they see african americans in job training empowering themselves for the future. They see taxes for the truly wealthy begin to rise to help the middle class regain their footing in today's economy. They are loath to begin to prioritize education reforms to enable persons to better contribute to society and keep pace with the technological world.
Just as you can't believe that FOX TV is fair and balanced, so too the belief that Republicans care about middle class persons. They envision a two class society in which the poor do not get compensated in a trickle down economy, but are squeezed ever harder to provide for the oligarchy.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
