Do cops hate it when you call 911 for something that's "barely" illegal?

I'm sure they would be since your example really isn't illegal... freedom of speech as long as he doesn't act on it.

It depends on the situation and how you express yourself. For example, if I (a 22 year old girl) called 911 and said that a man was cursing at me and threatening to kick my *** then I'm sure the cop would not think the call was unnecessary. If a young, drunk man is on the street cursing back and forth with another guy and their both causing a scene and one calls the police I suppose the police might find it slightly annoying, but at the end of the day they might appreciate the opportunity to take them both out of the situation before anyone was hurt.

Any call to 911 is taken seriously, they will respond, they might kick your **** too for being drunk, but slander is definitely a crime.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
