Do deep tissue massages really hurt?

Hello and thank you for your question about deep tissue massage and the pain involved. A deep tissue massage is significantly different than that of a regular massage in the fact that it affects the deeper tissues in your body thus causing more pain. Depending on the massage therapist you have, they will already have a predetermined level of pain set for you, but with deep tissue and you may in fact have to tell them when it hurts.

My massage therapist comes to my house once a week and has already warned me that I will be in bed for a few days after she gives me a deep tissue massage only because of severity of my issues in my shoulder that involve adhesion's in the muscles and is causing the lack of circulation in my hands and arms. You can expect to have a headache soon after the massage especially if you have not received one before, you should also apply ice to area depending on the length and severity of the massage and injury. Drinking lots of water will also help after the massage just like it does after working out, it replenishes the damaged cells .

It is also helpful to remember to avoid alcohol after a deep tissue massage or any massage as this can impede healing in the affected area and can cause sleepiness. All in all deep tissue massages can be uncomfortable, but in the long run will help you out and relax you immensely.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
