If you expect honest fact based answers from a liberal you are going to be disappointed Most of the ones that have already answered prove my point pretty completely..
With measures like requiring background checks across the board even in private sales, more enforcement on gun sellers to report people who seem violent, harsher enforcement of strawman purchases and buying guns for a third party and so forth. It puts the focus on the point of purchase. Guns do not start off in the hands of criminals, somewhere along the way, mostly in the sale of guns they fall into criminals hands, by focusing on the way gun sales are handled and having more universal rules and enforcement we can hopefully keep guns out of the hands people who shouldn't have them.
No one is expecting gun violence to disappear completely, but if we can keep more guns out of criminals hands then it's a good thing. And by the way, most liberals aren't anti-gun, just pro gun regulation. And any law abiding gun owner shouldn't have a problem obtaining a gun under any of these new proposals.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
