Do Holland and Barret Tan Tablets actually give you a tan?

Interesting - I'd like to know this myself. Will hang around and see your answers! How much were they?

EDIT : Just been for a read and found this - There are two types of tanning pills. The one group does not rely on UV exposure and the second group relies on this exposure to assist the body's production of melanin. 1.

The first group of tanning pills rely on a number of carotenoids - natural pigments. It is a build up of these carotenoids in the skin that causes a colour change i.e. A tan.

This tan is by no means "real," and does not offer any protection against UV exposure. This is because they do not affect the production of melanin. The colouration of the skin is only temporary and fades once the course of tablets is stopped.

The active carotenoid in these tanning pills is a substance called canthaxanthin. Once the tablet is taken the canthaxanthin is distributed through the body and is absorbed were it attaches itself to the subcutaneous layer (fat cells) that is found under the ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
