If serial killers have anything in common, it is that most people would not think they look like criminals. If they could be easily identified, they would not remain undetected long enough to the SERIAL killers.
They wouldn't be very effective serial killers if they looked like serial killers. They usually learn how to fit in and adapt to their selected environments. They come off as very charming and even generous, but this is a camoflauge to hide their true intentions.
You'll often notice that when a serial killer is discovered, their neighbors or co-workers will always say how they were quiet but nice and usually came off as an upstanding citizen (i.e. The BTK killer was a very religious family man).
ALL successful serial killers are successful about hiding their appearance and behavior. Think about it, if they had "a look," we wouldn't need profilers and forensics.
I believe the only real general similarity in appearance is that they are normally male and normally white.
A serial killer doesn't have to "look" like anything...
It's not really about appearance it's in the eyes and how they react around you or do they look suspicious.
I don't know about serial killers but I head sex offenders have a twinkle in their eyes.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
