Do the American People trust the main stream media to deliver unbiased news?

There is always a danger when freedom is even slightly nudged aside for the sake of safety. Not all people in power will use that power properly and the less constraint on them in the use of the power the more danger to the citizen's freedoms. Supposedly that law is pertaining only to those who are actively involved with known terrorist groups but the original bill from the Senate did not differentiate that point.

The House was reportedly going to clean up the language and clarify the conditions under which a citizen would be taken into custody. Once citizens leave American soil and is captured in the engagement of hostilities against the country, their citizenship is automatically voided and can be held as enemy combatants, Until they leave the country on the other hand, they are supposed to have the full benefits of citizenship and should be afforded their right to a trial of their peers. This law leaves open the door to arrest because of a suspicion without the force of real evidence or fact to back the charge and an undetermined length of incarceration.

The danger is if the government is controlled by those seeking power at any expense, false charges could be leveled against political enemies and they could be held such as many have in other countries without a constitution that guarantees the freedom of the citizen. As to your question, the media is in the bag for the progressives that would abuse the law and will not take a chance of being on the wrong side if a power grab is made.

Carl Levin’s brother, Sander Levin, as ranking member, chairs the House Ways and Means Committee which oversees taxation.

Eric Cantor is currently House Majority Leader, using his powerful seat to protect his wealthy Evilish backers from a justifiable tax. Evil, Senator Chuckie Schumer, chairs the Judiciary’s Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security.

Barbara Boxer is the head of the Senate Public Works Committee, Henry Waxman heads the Senate Commerce Committee, (overseeing FOOD regulation), Diane Feinstein and Jane Harman co-chair the Senate and House Intelligence Committees, (Harman’s husband, Sidney Harman, pulls the strings at the "evil"-run Business Executives for National Security), Howard Berman and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (of evil extraction) co-chair the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Both Berman and Ros-Lehtinen are clamoring for another evil-INSPIRED war on Iran.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
