Do the Liberals actually understand how dangerous the mosque on GROUND ZERO is?

One of those Muslims who died on 9/11 was Salman Hamdani, a 23-year-old New York City police cadet was a part-time ambulance driver, incoming medical student who was a devout Muslim died on 9/11, He was found near the North Tower, with his EMT medical bag beside him, presumably doing everything he could to help those in need. You are saying his family or those of the other Muslims who died should be banned from ground zero. Making all Muslims responsible for 9/11 is like like making all Christians responsible for Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber because he was involved in a Christian militia movement.

The purpose of terrorism is to terrorize, to coerce by intimidation or fear.to frighten people into a state of widespread panic and hatred against the group the terrorists pretend to represent, in this case Muslims. Every American, who like you, expresses hatred against all Muslims because of the 9/11 attack is another success story for those terrorists who perpetrated this act.

I'm not an Illiberal and the mosque there would appall me, though I concede, that LEGALLY it should be built. But here are the other side's arguments: * There are millions of Muslims world-wide, who mean us no harm * This mosque -- or, rather, a "Cultural Center" (with a mosque in it, among other things) -- ought to be built to show, that we aren't bigots, that we will not stereo-type ALL Muslims based on the 20 terrorists, etc. All of the pro-mosque arguments (those I gave plus the additional ones) could be repeated nearly verbatim in favor of a "German Cultural Center" in Auschwitz...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
