Do Wiccans really believe in the powers they claim to have?

Sweetie, I realize that you've been indoctrinated into bigotry and hatred, but there's really no excuse for ignorance on top of that except pure laziness. Since you apparently are too lazy to do your own work, let me do it for you. 1) "Wiccans can accuse Christians of being ignorant concerning their beliefs, but it is simply not true."

Well apparently it's quite true in your case or you'd realize how silly it is to rant about sin, hell, witchcraft and your ludicrous belief that god spoke a book word for word of absolute truth that Protestants felt nonetheless that it was necessary to edit from its original 73 books to 66. LMAO 2) Other religions are not bound by whatever Christians choose as their sacred texts. Christians may think they rule the world but 2/3's of the world scoffs at the mere idea.

3) No one but Christians think that Christians have a patent on truth. In fact many Christians don't even think that Christians have a patent on truth. 4) No one but Christians think that the Christian god and Christian anti-god are anything more than whining sadistic wannabes that are totally unworthy of receiving even one iota of respect or worship.

5) What Christians choose to suck up to, spout off about or parade about as truth is their own business, but seriously it all becomes little better than filthy hogwash when it's used to attack people of other faiths or denigrate their beliefs. 6) Hell is a non-existent sadistic fantasy land that isn't even accepted doctrine in all Christian sects let alone all faiths. 7) Sin is a false doctrine.

Original sin is even more false. Both are wicked lies created to lend support to the most base untrue and wicked lie of them all. The doctrine of the sacrificial innocent buying stolen purity for all and saving only his willing sheep from eternal torment.

8) As to your question regarding power, Wiccans are not overly concerned with power. That appears to be a Christian obsession most likely because Christians have this strange idea that it exists in only very limited quantities and can only be acquired by selling ones soul to one of two entities who apparently have agreed to share a power monopoly. Energy is in fact the most abundant resource in the universe and freely available to anyone and everyone without hidden agendas or contract clauses.

Raise your eyes and peep around your blinders. You are immersed in it, it flows through your veins, you continuously breath it in and ingest it whenever you eat and drink but of course, I forgot, being a Christian you're drowning in fear and too afraid to see.

Wiccans do not believe people have "powers". We do not believe in Satan. We do not believe in the Bible being the word of any God; it's mythology.

We don't believe in heaven or hell. We do not believe in the concepts of sin or needing forgiveness, so *naturally* we don't address those things. The reason you are accused of being ignorant about Wicca, is because you are ignorant about Wicca. You keep asking Wiccans basically why we do not follow Christian beliefs-- it is because they are not our beliefs.

This is a simple enough concept to grasp, yet you keep overlooking that simple fact. We are not Christians, we do not believe Christianity is right. If you believe in Satan, and the Bible, etc-- by all means, you should follow that.

I can't follow a religion I believe to be false, though, so I will have to stick with the one I believe to be true: Wicca.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
