Do you believe in separation of church and state?

They are forcing the Catholics to PAY for contraceptives, and PAY for abortions. It isn’t their business if someone wishes to take contraceptives or have an abortion. They should not be forced to fund it.

Nor should a physician be forced to perform actions he finds morally repugnant, just to practice medicine. It is fascist and as autocratic as forcing by law (see muzzle of gun) their religious beliefs on an unwilling and unassociated populace.

I hope that Catholics remember this in very large numbers when elections come around this fall (I am confident that the more traditional ones surely will). Hugh Hewitt has an excellent piece at Townhall today on this very subject: http://townhall.com/columnists/hughhewit... As Hewitt put it in concluding his piece: "Everyone has to choose: The president and the power of the state or the Roman Catholic Church and the right of all faiths to be free in the exercise of their beliefs." That is fundamentally what raises a major league red flag with me - interference with the "right of all faiths to be free in the exercise of their beliefs."

What religious practice of what religion will its adherents be forced to violate their consciences on next by the government?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
