I have always sent in my Publishers Clearing House entries and have entered online as well. In 2008, the prize patrol rolled up to a house in Grand Rapids, OH, a little city about 10 miles from where I live, and presented Natalie Bostelman with a $1,000,000 check along with the balloons and flowers. So I have to believe that the sweepstakes must be on the up and up.
However scammers have used the PCH sweepstakes to bilk money out of sweepstake winner hopefuls by calling people and telling them that they have won but must submit an administrative fee of $500.00 by check or through Western Union. These are the scams, not the sweepstakes itself.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
