Do you have to have a crate for a puppy?

Crates are a great way to train new Puppy's since it gives them a place that feels like their own. My family used a crate with my Puppy to help train him not to go to the bathroom in the house now he's older and has a dog bed. When you Crate train a dog you use it to help them learn not to go to the bathroom in the house and it's a place to leave them when you leave.

If the Puppy gets used to being in the crate it won't go to the bathroom in it since it's their space, also they won't tear up furniture...etc It's perfectly fine just to get a dog bed and house train the dog without a crate. I personally think having a crate is a good idea to have somewhere the puppy can go if you leave for a while and for transporting them in cars . Either way is perfectly fine I'm sure if you google crate training you could find out a lot.

No. Should you get one?YES. Why?

Because you and your family will not be able to watch that pup every single second. When you can't watch him a crate is good for keeping your pup out of things. It can help with the house breaking process AND gives your pup his own space to get away from everyone and everything when he choose to. When all my dogs were fully crate trained we took the doors off.

They choose to sleep in their crates at their leisure AND when it came time for long trips with the dogs they all had their own secure space in the vehicle. If they ever had to stay at the vet's overnight they never freaked out about being kenneled, same with being boarded. Also if you live some place where natural disasters are something to be concerned about you want to be able to get up and go AND have your dogs properly secured.

Crates when properly used are never cruel and are appropriate.

Goats are better. Don't require crates and are great milk suppliers.

You should get a duck, they don't require crates, just nice open areas:).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
