Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?

Instead of pushing the button more than once in frustration, I get infuriated when seeing other people doing it. I'm not the most patient person on earth but at times like this people seem to abandon reason completely, like when a crowd of people are trying to board a train before letting people off..!

Not me. I push it once and just stand quietly. But the "door close" button.

That one I'll push.

Yes I most certainly do and I am not sure why exactly but I actually do believe that it makes the elevator faster. At least spinning this theory around in my head, shortens the time until I reach the floor...

Its a habit I have. I personally don't like elevators so I do it because im nervous.

I hate how people ignore the direction the lift is going. There is nothing more frustrating then being at the top or bottom level waiting for the lift only to have the doors open and it be full of people, none of which get out. If the up light is lit and you want to go down, wait for it to go up and it will come back for you on its way down!

It's not rocket science.

I push the call button once, as long as it lights up and gives me that warm fuzzy feeling that the elevator might come. In residential buildings with manual elevators and attendants, I'll push the button a couple times until it moves (the elevator buzzes the attendant).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
