Do you still buy Newspaper? Do you agree that most of the people under-25 year old do not buy printed newspaper?

I'm 21, and no, I don't subscribe to the paper. However, I do GET the paper. How?

My 50+ year old mother thinks a newspaper is a necessary part of the week, that I would be crazy not to have one, and since I won't subscribe myself, she set up and paid for an ongoing subscription for me, mailed to my house 100 miles away from where it's published. I take a 30 second glance over it (the engagement announcements, birth announcements, mostly) and the rest goes in the bin. It seems like such a waste of paper, but I'm not in to the news and the paper just doesn't appeal to me.

If there is something important, it'll be online, or I'll hear about it. I don't need to know that some store just gave the hospital a cheque for $1000 or that there is a lawn bowling game on Friday. That's the kind of news in the weekly paper I get (it's from a small town).

My school offers free city newspapers every morning - occasionally I'll pick them up to do the crossword and sudoku but most of the time I just do them online. A heck of a lot of paper could be saved by getting rid of newspapers people hardly read. The only time they're really great is on the bus or waiting in a restaurant when you don't want to kill your cell battery.

But even then - I could do without. I don't know ANYONE else who has a subscription.

Actually, I'm under 25 and don't buy newspapers or why should I if I can read anything online and in the most cases for free. And, I absolutely agree that days for printed newspapers are unfortunately numbered. Publishers really have to think about something.

I prefer hard copy print, but do not buy them as they are too hard to get in my remote location. I do not know anyone under the age of 30 who buys them.

I am 27 and I don't buy a paper everything I need is online. News, coupons and the local paper so why would I want all that waste laying around day after day. I believe most people in there 20's know how and use the internet daily and don't buy the paper due to that..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
