We do lots of different things... For formal PE, my kids take a homeschooler "swim and gym" class, which is a lot like the gym classes I remember from school. There they are introduced to a variety of sports and have access to a big gym and pool and equipment we don’t have at home. They are also signed up for specific sports/activities that interest them-- I have one in dance and another in gymnastics at the moment. In the past they’ve done basketball and t-ball.

We try to mix things up now while my kids are little, but I imagine that in a couple years they’ll focus on one or two sports. For day to day exercise and to encourage a healthy lifestyle, we do lots of things. We walk in place of driving as much as we can.

My kids spend hours playing outside and running around (the greater efficiency of one on one teaching frees up a lot of time in their day). We like to take nature walks. A couple days a week we meet a large group of homeschoolers at a park at the kids have a lot of fun running around together.
