Do you think money is important for happiness?

I think in today's world, a certain amount of money brings peace of mind. Being happy or "up" is very hard when you are trying to figure out how to put a roof over your head, or meet medical expenses--so while not happiness it provides the security so you can choose to be happy.

No. Happiness is an attitude, a personal choice, it is independent of money. Money can provide security, not happiness.

I rate money up there with oxygen. I have not got any but I stay happy enough.

Money does not in itself create happiness. What it can do, depending on how you use it, is allow peace of mind reducing worries over finances etc, and it can enable you to have experiences such as travel which can enrich your life and your memories, and give you the opportunity to do the things you most enjoy doing.

The bottom line though, is that money cannot buy happiness. Happiness is a state of mind, not a quantity of money, and the poorest of people living a contented life are happier than the richest of people living a stress-filled life.

I don't think money makes you happy. Money can help you feel less stressed out and more secure. However, there are plenty of rich people who are not happy.

Yes. The way our society is built, money is needed for most everything. I believe people with money are generally happier than people without.

No, but I think that having enough of it definitely helps things along.

I stood on a bluff overlooking the ocean at sunset a few years and a real sense of joy came over me. I thought to myslef, "As long as I am still able to enjoy times like this, it iwll be good to be alive - no matter what else happens.

Of course money is important - you use it to purchase food, clothing and shelter - but happiness is so much more than those things. Happiness comes from a well deep inside and rich or poor, it comes from the same deep place.

I think so, it sure helps when you don't have to worry about how you're going to pay your bills.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
