You don't seem to understand what equal opportunity means. Equal opportunity means there are no institutional barriers to anyone's success, it doesn't mean everyone gets to start from the same starting point. There should be zero estate tax.

The various governments have already taxed that money as capital or income. No one should have to sell a family business or farm to pay the government a tax on it. The estate tax is immoral.

I believe we did just that as part of the income tax compromise. Not sure farms or small businesses are exempt though. There many reasons we need an inheritance tax.

If Ted Kennedy had to work for a living, Mary Jo might still be with us, and that turd would not have sullied politics for so long.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
