Here is what I make As a diabetic, I usually make the recipe in bulk then use a tablespoon to put 3 tbl in my cup. SUGAR FREE HOT COCOA 1/4 c. Instant non-fat milk powder 2 tsp.

Coffee creamer 2 1/2 tsp. Hershey's cocoa (unsweetened) 2 packs splenda or 2 packs sweet and low Mix ingredients well in an 8 ounce mug. Add boiling water to fill cup and stir..

If you're a diabetic, you can't expect one that tastes as good or sweet as one made with sugar--it goes with the territory--but this one sounds okay to me (Equal, or it's generic equivalent, comes pretty close to the taste of sugar! ): Diabetic Instant Cocoa Mix 2 cups nonfat dry milk powder 1/2 cup lower-fat powdered nondairy creamer 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 10 packets Equal® sweetener or 1 tablespoon Equal® for Recipes 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional) For cocoa mix, stir together milk powder, nondairy creamer, cocoa powder, Equal® and, if desired, cinnamon. Cover and store in an airtight container.

For each serving, in a heat-proof mug add 3/4 cup boiling water to 1/3 cup cocoa mix; stir to dissolve. Makes 2 2/3 cups mix (enough for 8 six-ounce servings). Nutrition Information Per Serving: Calories: 104, Protein: 8 g, Carbohydrates: 17 g, Fat: 2 g, Cholesterol: 3 mg, Sodium: 93 mg.

3 Maybe , since I use the sugar free cocoa mix....and really like it...I should just buy some. That, of course, looses some of my "Home made gift" idea.
