Does anyone have any suggestions on Visual Basic/coding/web programming books for my son? He's learning but wants a book-- too many options?

The best books to get for these subjects would be the O'reily published ones. They are very good tutorials and references as well. Several of the ones I've read are even a bit entertaining at times.

Since they are published by an outside party (not Microsoft) your son will get an objective view of the languages and programming in general. I have to mention that w3schools.com is also an excellent starter to programming in VB and other web able languages; however it is online only.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
