Not sure about what you mean by "put another video in front of my own", but as for making a spotlight appear from nowhere, this can certainly be done with Windows Movie Maker. Just make sure your camera is locked off so it can't move. Then take a few seconds footage of the scene WITHOUT the spotlight in it.
Then, without moving the camera, take some footage WITH the spotlight in it. Bring the clips into your the editor. Have the clip without the spot on the timeline before the one with the spot, and just push the clips together.
They will overlap in a "blend zone". When you play this edit, the spotlight will magically fade in from nowhere.
Animoto. Com is'nt a software, is a site that you can edit and you get 30 seconds free, for each video you 30 seconds for editing.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
