Does anyone know name of children's book series (4 books) about family in Netherlands living in a windmill during WWII?

In one of the books the family helps hide a soldier. The father of the family is a miller.At one point a plane drops a box of supplies and the family is so excited to have soap again. My husband and I both remember this series and would love to read it to our son.

Think I may have found it... lda van Stockum wrote a book called The Winged Watchman; it is the story of the Verhagens, a small close-knit family living in a windmill in Holland during WWII. However, it is not a series, just the one book. The author does have a series of books, though, called the Bantry Bay series about a family in Ireland.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
