Does anyone know of a good cheap or free software download I can use to quickly catalogue my media?

Here's the deal...I'm particularly interested in CDs as I have over 2,000, but I also have probably 900 cassettes and 200 vinyl albums. In addition I have a few hundred DVDs and a few hundred more VHS. I'd like to for sure catalogue my CDs in something where I could alphabetize them (I do this physically every so often but I have so many now it's quite an undertaking without a tool to help me), and where I could also have a record for insurance purposes, and a master list that anyone in my family can reference.

I tried to use CDDB once, but you have to open your drive, insert the disc, let it read the disc info, eject the disc, repeat...it takes a lot of time with that many discs. Keypunching is going to be even more time consuming. I'd like to be able to link to a database, click checkboxes for what I have and have it compile the list for me.

Here's what I use for DVDs dvdaficionado.com It’s a free website, and once you register, you can start adding to your DVD list. You search for the name, Amazon Sales ID, or Internet Movie Database ID (imdb.com), when you see the picture of the DVD that represents the one you have (great way to specify if you have the full screen, wide screen, collector’s edition, etc, etc, etc). In the unlikely event the DVD isn’t listed, there’s an easy form for you to complete where you indicate the details, the Amazon/IMDB code, etc, and it will be added for you.

They’re automatically alphabetized and categorized. Tell your friends and family what your username is there, and they can pull up your list and see them. It's a web page itnerface, so nothing to download.

You can even export your list to a file. Here’s Mine .

Check out this site. I recommend looking at Collectorz.com. They have free trials and then the actual software itself costs $39.95.

There are three ways that you can download your data. You can insert your CD, scan the barcode, or type in the artist's name and the album title. With your DVD's you scan the barcode, or type in the movie title.

I use it to catalogue my books. It's the best thing I ever did. It's super easy to use.

You can organize them in any way that you choose. They sell the scanner also, I paid $129.95 for mine. Sources: Personal experience, collectorz.com/ .

How do I download the photo booth software to my macbook pro for free.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
