Does anyone know why my ps2 all of a sudden won't play ps1 games. It seems they will play after I reload so many times. On the browser it keeps asking me to insert a ps1 or ps2 game.My ps2 console is probably 5-6 years and in very nice shape.

Never dropped or banged around. I keep it clean. I did notice if I put a memory card (ps1) in the games will sometimes work.
