Does anyone use alternative (vinegar, baking soda, etc.) cleaning products around the house?

Yes, and I have done so for years...................long before the terms, "green, natural, and chemical free" were added to the modern day thinking.

All the time. Hydrogen peroxide to disinfect, white vinegar to deodorize, microfiber and warm water to clean, salt to scrub pans.

Yes, definitely. I use these products most of the time (about 80%). I love being natural and not adding chemicals to my home.

Same here. They actually work really well on most things. I also use regular cleaners sometimes too, but I'm moving more and more to all natural alternative cleaning.

I was not aware that vinegar and baking soda were alternative cleaning products. Honestly, the cleaning products pushed at supermarkets rarely works as well as baking soda and vinegar. Admittedly, I am a single guy who is not supposed to know how to clean; but, no one was cleaning for me.

I do all the time. If it won't come clean with vinegar, I rinse and try scrubbing with baking soda. Baking soda leaves a film on glass, but vinegar leaves everything sparkling and shining, from counter tops to sinks to expensive glassware.

I also use baking soda as a deodorizer and help for those nasty set-in carpet stains (test in a small area first). Nothing works better for your money than vinegar and an old toothbrush to get water deposits off of your sinks and countertops. Just spray some on, let it sit until it quits bubbling (or 10 minutes, whichever is longer) then scrub the little spots that escape the sponge around the faucet with the toothbrush, rinse, and repeat if necessary to remove hard water stains.

Note that vinegar doesn't remove the green copper stains, however.

Two hubs I just wrote in the last couple days:25 Amazing Uses For Olive Oil Around The House faceless39.hubpages.com/hub/Amazing-Uses-Fo50" rel="nofollow">faceless39.hubpages.com/hub/Amazing-Uses... Amazing Uses For Vinegar Around The Housefaceless39.hubpages.com/hub/Amazing-Uses-Fo.

Yes! I recently wrote a hub on how to use those products to clean your bathroom and kitchen: brittanytodd.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Clean.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
