Does Seattle weather depress you?

Nope I moved here seven years ago from Michigan. Out there, the summers can be 100+ F and 98% humidity, while the winters can hit -20 F for a week straight. Either extreme kills people regularly.

Not at all - I love it Personally, I actually like having weather. I grew up in the Northeast and it would range from freezing winters to too hot and muggy summers. Going from there to California, where the weather is perpetually sunny was not enough variety for me.

Coming to Seattle, is perfect. You never know what the weather will be tommorrow, it actually changes, it rains sometimes, its sunny sometimes, you even see a rainbow every now and then. Since when has a rainbow ever made anyone depressed?

I think the only reason that some people may be depressed is because they feel like they are stuck indoors. Deal with it, if you live in the Pacific Northwest it rains. Don't let it ruin your plan to go for a run, you will just get wet instead.So for now, I say I love the weather, I don't even mind rain.

It just means that you actually keep your rain jacket and a warm jacket out even in the summer. Best of all, all that rain means incredible green forests and year round vegitation. Not those brown hills of California.

The best way to prepare for visiting Seattle is to layer -- the climate, with our hilly terrain's infamous "convergence zones", is unpredictable enough (just ask our long-suffering local weather people) that you never know when a rain storm, a dry spell, or a sudden drop in temperature might occur. You'll notice many Seattleites who don't even use umbrellas -- after awhile, you just get used to the drizzle. Rain jokes aside, Seattle has a milder climate than many other parts of the world, with less extreme variations in temperature, and a higher number of cloudy days with misty and damp weather.

Not personally I enjoy a light rain like what we've been having today. They tend to make the sunny days that much more enjoyable as a side effect. On the other hand, Seattle has a high rate of suicide and multiple sclerosis, so I'm probably in the minority.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
