The Arabic word we translate as 'hell' is Jahanum or Jahannam. I do not know how often these words occur in the Qur'an but here is a quote from a Hadith (Tradition): "If any man recites the Qur'an and memorizes it, God will cause him to enter Paradise and will grant him the right to intercede successfully for ten people of his household, all of whom deserve Hell Fire." (Sunna of Ibn Maja (Cairo, 1930), I. 92-5) This 'eternal fire' of hell is mentioned in the Qur'an (Sura 9: 17 & 98: 5), for 'disbelievers of the People of the Book, and the idolators, who are the worst of creatures, shall be in the fire of Hell forever."
The only other reference to Hell I could spot was in Sura 5:76-7 - "Those who associate anything with God, God will prohibit them from entering Paradise, and their refuge shall be Hell." Angels are said to guard the gates of Hell but I don't know if that is stated in the Qur'an or in Hadiths. Really, you would need a concordance of the Qur'an to search for the Arabic word for hell and check that way.
I don't know. But the radical Muslims are giving us hell here on earth.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
