Does this mean the Korean War is being resumed? Who is going to back down?

From this article:news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090527/ts_nm/us_ko... Korea's latest threat came after Seoul announced, following the North's nuclear test on Monday, it was joining the U.S.-led Proliferation Security Initiative, launched under the George W. Bush administration as a part of its "war on terror. ""Any hostile act against our peaceful vessels including search and seizure will be considered an unpardonable infringement on our sovereignty and we will immediately respond with a powerful military strike," a North Korean army spokesman was quoted as saying by the official KCNA news agency.

He reiterated that the North was no longer bound by an armistice signed at the end of the 1950-53 Korean War because Washington had ignored its responsibility as a signatory by drawing Seoul into the anti-proliferation effort. The mentally ill is never the one who backs down. Kim Jong Ill is mentally il. The irony is that their propaganda is chock-a-block with images and declarations of violence against the U.S. The U.N. (not the U.S.) declares a blockade and they're angry at the U.S., ready to fire a missile here because we've violated their sovereignty and are a violent people.

But a key symptom of mental illness is an utter inability to see another person's viewpoint. Thus, Kim has no ability to see that HIS actions are not received as defensive but as offensive. We'd as well invite him to walk out to this naval ship to have a talk.

He can't see what we see (he's psychotic in a dangerous way); he is only able to see what he sees, that he is always right. Irony: North Korea is a starved nation with little to no industry. That James Bond movie where North Korea was going to invade South Korea (Die Another Day) conveniently left out the massive South Korean fortifications and defenses any "army" would have to slog thru. It's almost as if South Korea is saying, "Come on baby, hit me.

" This is why K. J. Ill needed nuclear weaponry.

1 Kim is an attention whore, but he's not stupid. He's been saying provocative things like this, and in the past he's been rewarded (by Presidents of both parties) with goodies in exchange for a bit of temporary silence. I think he's gone to that well too many times.

He knows the US can't attack; Kim has chemical weapons and almost certainly a willingness to use them on Seoul. He knows he can't attack, either: China is willing to back him, but only to a point, and even China would shut their mouths in the case of an actual assault. So, he makes noise, while the US government pursues back-channel negotiations with China.

China is in no particular hurry; they like the way Kim distracts our attention.

We hear so little about it, almost as if it didn't happen. " "What are the best war blogs?" "Looking for a movie title. About a man that came back from war.

People did not know if it was really him or not." "how many soldiers were killed in the Korean conflict / Korean war? " "War, what is it good for? " "where do I find a list of korean war USAF bronze star recipients?" "Will there always be War?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
